'Drug trader' dies in Cox's Bazar 'gunfight' between two groups

COX'S BAZAR, Nov 18 (UNB): A suspected drug trader was killed in a reported gunfight between two groups at Dakhshin Lengurbil adjacent to the Bay of Bengal in Teknaf upazila early Sunday.
The deceased is Farid Alam (30), son of Prokash Md Alam, a resident of the area.
On information about a gunfight between two groups of Yaba traders, a team of police conducted a drive in the area around 4:00 am, said Pradip Kumar Das, officer-in-charge (OC) of Teknaf Model thana.
Later, the police team recovered the body, the OC added.
