DU admission tests likely to begin June 3

The deans of different faculties at Dhaka University (DU) on Wednesday proposed holding the first year honours admission test for the academic session 2021-22 from June 3.

The deans' committee has made the proposal to the central admission committee which will finalize the dates today (Thursday), DU Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Academic) Prof. Dr. A.S.M. Maksud Kamal told the FE.

According to meeting sources, the online application process for admission will start from April 20 and continue until May 10 and the last date for payment is May 11.

The admission test for 'Ga' unit will be held on June 3 while 'Kha' unit on June 4, 'Ka' unit on June 10, 'Gha' unit on June 11, 'Cha' unit on June 17, according to the meeting's decision.

The admission tests will be held on the DU campus and divisional cities from 10:00 am to 11:30 am on 120 marks.

Of the total, 20 marks will be given on the basis of the results of Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) while the admission tests will be held on the rest 100 marks--written 40 marks and Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) 60 marks.
