DU confers PhD on 11 researchers

The University of Dhaka (DU) has conferred PhD degree on 11 researchers from six departments, reports UNB.

According to a decision of the DU Academic Council, the Syndicate meeting held recently with DU Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr AAMS Arefin Siddique in the chair conferred the PhD degree on the researchers, said a press release on Friday.

The PhD degree recipients are Rezaul Karim Talukder (Bangla Department); Fakhrul Islam (English); Sultan Mahmud Bhuiyan, Masuduzzaman, Abul Farah, Shafiqul Islam and Golam Kibria (Islamic Studies); Masud Rana Khan and Nur-Un Nessa (Islamic History); Zahidul Kabir (Music); and Azim Uddin (Statistics Department).

Besides, Soma Hayat from Biochemistry and Molecular Biology Department received MPhil degree.
