DU, CU to resume in-person classes from Feb 22

The authorities of Dhaka University (DU) have decided to resume in-person classes for all academic years from February 22 with maintaining health guidelines.

The offices at the university will also open on February 22, said a press release issued by DU public relations office on Saturday.

All the exams will be held as per the prescheduled routine, it added.

The academic activities remained closed since March 18, 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic and resumed on October 17, 2021. After a certain period, the authorities announced its plan to resume in-person classes from January 23, 2022.

UNB adds: Chattogram University (CU) will resume physical classes for all students from February 22 after one month of closure, maintaining proper health rules.

The CU authorities said all the pre-scheduled examinations will be taken and all official activities will continue from Tuesday, said a press release issued on Saturday.

It prohibited arranging any kind of programme other than official meetings, exams and classes that may create crowd on the campus.

The authorities also asked all students to carry their Covid-19 vaccine certificates. On January 21, the CU authority decided to take classes online considering the worsening Covid-19 situation. The university halls remained open during the closure.
