The VC said the examination was held peacefully as no untoward incident was reported from anywhere.

He said, "A gang of fraudsters was active to cheat students, but there was no incident of question leak. The main goal of this gang was to extort money from our prospective students and their guardians who don't know about it. That is why they spread rumours of question leak."

The VC said, "So far we have not received any complaint of any student being cheated by the gang. We have told everyone in the media to beware of the rumour. We have also spoken to the law enforcement agencies. We hope the gang members will be arrested by the law enforcement agencies very soon."

A total of 1 22,279 applications were received against 2934 seats in the examination on Friday.

The duration of the exam was one hour and 30 minutes. Out of this, 45 minutes were allocated for the MCQ portion of 60 marks. The allotted time for the written part of 40 marks was 45 minutes.
