DU Fund set up for edn and research

The Dhaka University (DU) authorities have established a fund titled 'The DU Fund' for developing education and research of the university.

DU Vice-Chancellor (VC) Prof. Dr. Md. Akhtaruzzaman inaugurated the fund on Saturday as the chief guest with an outlay of Tk 11.1 million (1.11 crore).

The programme was held at the Professor Abdul Matin Chowdhury Virtual Classroom of the university. Pro-VC (Administration) Prof. Dr. Muhammad Samad, Treasurer Prof. Mamtaz Uddin Ahmed and others were also present.

On behalf of DU Alumni Association (DUAA), its President Anwar-Ul Alam Chowdhury, Chairman of PHP Family Sufi Mohammed Mizanur Rahman, Chairman of Universal Medical College and Hospital Priti Chakraborty and Chairman of Popular Medical College and Hospital Dr. Mustafizur Rahman handed over cheques for the money to the DU VC. The fund collection will continue.

VC Prof. Akhtaruzzaman cordially thanked the donors.
