Dhaka University (DU) Ga Unit admission test for the first year BBA courses will be held today (Friday) with a total of 43 candidates against one seat.
The hour-long written admission test for the academic year 2014-2015 will begin at 10:00 am on and outside the university campus in the capital.
DU authorities have strongly prohibited bringing any electronic device including calculator at the examination centres, saying that the applicants will be subject to charges, if anyone is detected with such device.
"We are very serious about the electronic device as the university authorities found such devices to have been used for adopting unfair means during the admission test", said Prof Shibli Rubayat Ul Islam, convener of the Ga Unit admission test and also dean of the faculty.
According the DU admission office, a total of 49,976 eligible admission seekers applied against 1,170 seats under the Faculty of Business Studies.
This year, some 301,038 students have applied against available 6,582 seats to get admission at the country's largest public university.
Of them 81,948 students applied under the Ka Unit against 1,640 seats, 42,417 students under the Kha Unit for 2,221 seats, 112,042 students under Gha Unit against 1,416 seats, 14,755 students under the Cha Unit against 135 seats.
