DU 'Ga' unit entry test held

The admission test of 'Ga' unit under the Faculty of Business Studies for the 2021-22 academic session of Dhaka University (DU) was held in eight divisional cities Friday.

The test was held from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm on 120 marks, said a press release issued by DU.

A total of 30,719 students have applied for 930 seats under 'Ga' unit. Some 33 students are vying for one seat.

Of the total, 20 marks would be given on the basis of the results of the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) exams. And the admission test was held on 100 marks.

The multiple choice question (MCQ)-based exam was held on 60 marks and the written exam was held on the rest 40 marks. Admission seekers got 45 minutes to answer the MCQs and 45 minutes for the written exam.

No electronic devices, including calculator, mobile phone and electronic watch, were allowed into the exam halls during the admission test.

DU Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Md Akhtaruzzaman, Pro-VC Prof Dr Muhammad Samad (administration), Pro-VC (academic) Prof Dr AKM Maksud Kamal, Treasurer Prof Mamtaz Uddin Ahmed, 'Ga' unit test coordinator and Business Studies Faculty Dean Prof Dr Muhammad Abdul Moyeen, Registrar Probir Kumar Sarker, DU Teachers' Association (DUTA) General Secretary Prof Dr Md Nizamul Hoque Buiyan, and Proctor Dr AKM Golam Rabbani visited the exam centres on the campus.
