DU 'Gha Unit' admission test held

The written test of 'Gha Unit' (transfer unit) for admission to first year honours at Dhaka University (DU) for the academic year 2009-10 was held peacefully Friday.
Some 46,000 candidates took the admission test with 51 students vying for each seat.
DU Vice-Chancellor Prof AAMS Arefin Siddique, Pro-VC Prof Harun-or-Rashid and Social Sciences Faculty Dean Prof Farid Uddin Ahmed visited several examination centres and expressed satisfaction over the peaceful holding of the test.
