DU holds seminar on higher edn in France


Dhaka University (DU) organised a special seminar titled "Higher Education Opportunities in France" on the campus on Tuesday to inform students and teachers about prospects for higher education, research, and international collaboration in France.
The seminar was organised by the International Center for Ocean Governance (ICOG) of DU in collaboration with the French Embassy, Campus France Bangladesh, and Expertise France.
The event was chaired by DU Pro-Vice Chancellor (Education) Professor Dr. Abdus Salam, while French Ambassador to Bangladesh Jean-Marc Sere-Charlet attended as the chief guest.
Dean of DU Faculty of Earth and Environmental Sciences Professor Dr. Md. Humayun Kabir, ICOG Director Dr. K. M. Azam Chowdhury, Cultural Attaché of French Embassy Baptiste Le Bris, and Country Head of Campus France Bangladesh Nasiba Hossain were present.
The DU Pro-VC emphasised the importance of expanding international cooperation and creating greater opportunities for students to pursue higher education at globally reputed universities.
Jean-Marc Sere-Charlet said France, with its world-class universities, research institutions, and innovative academic environment, has become an attractive destination for Bangladeshi students.
