International Business (IB) Department of the Dhaka University (DU) took out a colourful procession led by DU Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Md Akhtaruzzaman in celebration of the department’s 10th founding anniversary on Wednesday from Nabab Nawab Ali Chowdhury Senate Bhaban premises. International Chamber of Commerce (ICC)-Bangladesh President Mahbubur Rahman took part in the procession among others. International Business (IB) Department of Dhaka University (DU) celebrated on Wednesday its 10th founding anniversary on the campus in a festive mood, reports BSS.
Vice-Chancellor (VC) Professor Dr Md Akhtaruzzaman inaugurated the main programme cutting cake and releasing balloons and pigeons as the chief guest on Nabab Nawab Ali Chowdhury Senate Bhaban premises.
Marking the day, a colorful procession was brought out from the Senate Bhaban premises. It ended at the same venue after parading the streets of the campus.
Later, a discussion was held at the senate Bhaban auditorium with IB Department Chairman Assistant Prof Md Rakib Uddin Bhuiyan in the chair.
International Chamber of Commerce (ICC)-Bangladesh President Mahbubur Rahman addressed the discussion as the guest of honour while DU Treasurer Prof Kamal Uddin and Business Studies Faculty Dean Prof Shibli Rubayat Ul Islam attended as the special guests.
