DU in-person classes resume Feb 22

The authorities of Dhaka University (DU) have decided to resume in-person classes for the first-year honours students from February 22.

The decision was taken on Friday, says a press release from the DU public relations office.

DU vice-Chancellor (VC) Prof Dr Akhtaruzzaman said in-person classes of other academic years will also resume soon, based on improvement in the Covid-19 situation.

Academic activities at the DU had remained closed since March 18, 2020 after the outbreak of the coronavirus and resumed on October 17, 2021.

But after a certain period following resurgence of the virus through its new variant Omicron, the authorities announced to keep in-person classes shut from January 23 this year.
