Teachers and students of Mass Communication and Journalism (MCJ) Depart-ment of Dhaka University Thursday condoled the death of veteran journalist Obaidul Haq, reports UNB.
They prayed for the salvation of the departed soul and expressed deep sympathy to the members of the bereaved family.
A press statement signed by the department's chairman Sheikh Abdus Salam said Obaidul Haq's death is an irreparable loss to the nation as he was a pioneer of journalism in the country.
