The admission test of 'Kha' unit under the Faculty of Arts for 2021-22 academic session of Dhaka University (DU) was held in eight divisional cities on Saturday.
The test was held from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm on 120 marks, said a press release issued by DU on the day.
A total of 58,587 students applied for 1,788 seats of 'Kha' unit while around 33 students were vying for one seat.
Of the total, 20 marks would be given on the basis of the results of Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) exams and the admission test was held on the rest 100 marks.
The Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) part was held on 60 marks and written part was held on the rest 40 marks. Admission seekers got 45 minutes for the MCQ part and 45 minutes for written part.
No electronic devices, including calculator, mobile phone and electronic watch, were allowed into the exam halls.
DU Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Md Akhtaruzzaman, Pro-VC Prof Dr Muhammad Samad (administration), Pro-VC (academic) Prof Dr AKM Maksud Kamal, Treasurer Prof Mamtaz Uddin Ahmed, 'Kha' unit test coordinator and Arts Faculty Dean Prof Dr Abdul Basir, Registrar Probir Kumar Sarker, DU Teachers' Association (DUTA) General Secretary Prof Dr Md Nizamul Hoque Buiyan and Proctor Dr AKM Golam Rabbani visited Arts building and other centres on the university campus.
