DU makes notable progress in THE Impact Rankings

Dhaka University (DU) has advanced to the 401-600 band in the Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings 2026, published by the UK-based magazine Times Higher Education.

Compared with last year's placement in the 1,001-1,500 band, the university has made a notable leap in the latest edition of the rankings, released on Wednesday.

The Impact Rankings 2026 assess universities worldwide on the basis of their contributions to the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), taking into account performance across areas such as education, research, innovation, policy development, and societal engagement.

This year's edition evaluated 1,646 universities from 116 countries and territories. The DU achieved notable positions across several SDG indicators.
