Prof Mohabbat Ali, former chairman of Chemistry Department of the Dhaka University, died of old age ailments in the city Saturday night. He was 88, reports UNB.
Namaz-e-janaza for Prof Ali will be held at Dhaka University Central Mosque at 10:30am Tuesday.
Prof Ali was the chairman of the Chemistry Department from 1985 to 1988 and provost of Fazlul Haq Muslim Hall from 1974 to 1987.
DU Vice Chancellor Prof SMA Faiz, Pro-vice Chancellor AFM Yusuf Haider and Treasurer Prof Syed Abul Kalam Azad condoled the death of Dr Mohabbat Ali.
