DU to participate in UN Colloquium of University Presidents

Dhaka University (DU) has been invited to the third meeting of the UN Secretary General's Colloquium of University Presidents.
United Nations (UN) Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon along with the presidents of some 25 leading universities from across the world will address the conference.
It will be held on November 28-29 at New York University in the US. Five universities including New York University, Columbia University and University of Pennsylvania are sponsoring the colloquium.
This year's colloquium will focus on - 'crucial importance to the United Nations and the international community: global climate change.'
DU Vice-Chancellor SMA Faiz and Dean of Law Faculty Borhan Uddin Khan will attend the programme on behalf of the university.
Terming the invitation of the colloquium to DU as a great realisation of its worldwide fame and reputation, Faiz told the reporters Sunday that the DU students and teachers have to make optimum contribution to maintain the standards of education and research of the university in the days ahead.
