Dhaka University (DU) campus has worn a deserted look as most of its students have left it to celebrate the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr with their families at home, reports UNB.
Some students have left the campus in early Ramadan as their semester final examination was over. As the Eid-ul-Fitr comes closer, most of the remaining resident students have left the campus over the last couple of days.
Those who could not go home earlier to enjoy the vacation have started leaving the campus on Wednesday morning.
As he was leaving the campus on Wednesday morning, Riadul Hasan, a 3rd year student of Finance Department, said, "I'm so much excited and delighted to be able to go home after a long time. I couldn't go earlier as I have a private tuition job." he said, adding, "Hope, it would be safe and less hazardous on the way to home."
However, the few students staying back will celebrate the Eid on the campus. Most of them are followers of the candidates for the next central committee of Bangladesh Chhatra Leauge (BCL), slated for July 25 and 26.
