Raihanul Islam Abir of the daily New Nation and Mahdi Al Muhtasim (Nibir) of Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha (BSS) have been elected president and general secretary respectively of Dhaka University Journalists' Association (DUJA) for the next one year.
Abu Rakib of the Financial Express (FE) has also been elected vice president, Md Imran Hossain of United News of Bangladesh (UNB) joint secretary, Kabir Kanon of sarabagla.net as office secretary and Monir Hossain of daily Manab Zamin has been elected Treasure of the DUJA.
The executive members are Ismail Hossain of daily Nayadiganta, Abdur Razzak Sohel of daily Observer, Sazzadul Kabir of Banglanews.
The DUJA election was held at its office at Teachers-Students Centre (TSC) of the university on Saturday.
