Mamun Tusher of Daily Alokito Bangladesh and Sirazul Islam Rubel of the Daily Star have been elected as president and general secretary respectively of Dhaka University Journalists' Association (DUJA) for the next one year.
The election to DUJA was held at its office at Teacher-Student Centre (TSC) of the university on Tuesday.
Other office bearers are: vice president Al Sadi Bhuiyan, joint secretary Asif Hawlader, treasurer Mahadi Hasan and office secretary Nasimul Huda.
The executive members are: Obaidur Rahman Shohan of New Age, Mohiuddin Muzahid Mahi of Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha (BSS) and Monirul Islam of Newsbangla24.com.
