Renowned educationist, social worker and businessman Mohammad Ali Azzam was reelected as the chairman of the Eastern University Foundation & Board of Trustees (BoT) of the university at the 185th meeting of the BoT in the city on Saturday, says a statement.
Earlier, Ali Azzam served in various important positions including treasurer of the university foundation, chairman of the admission committee and the disciplinary committee.
In his second tenure, from January 01, 2024, he will serve as the chairman of the BoT for the next one year.
Apart from being a member of the Board of Trustees of Port City International University, he is involved in various educational and religious institutions and social organisations.
He is the founder of different educational institutions, mosques, madrasas in different parts of the country.
