NARSINGDI, Aug 25 (UNB): Editor of a weekly newspaper was seriously injured in an attack by terrorists at Brahmanpara Friday night in the town of the district.
Sources said some terrorists intercepted MA Awal, editor and publisher of Weekly Narsingdir Kagaj and district correspondent of Daily Khabarpatra when he reached his house at Bilasdi at 9:00 pm.
Later, they stabbed Awal indiscriminately, leaving him seriously injured.
He was admitted to the district Sadar Hospital and later shifted him to Dhaka Orthopedic Hospital at 11:00 pm as his condition deteriorated.
Local Journalist Associations condemned the attack on the editor and demanded immediate arrest and punishment of those involved in the attack.
