The 13th death anniversary of educationist Abul Hashem, the founder of Singhakhali School and College at Bhandaria upazilla of Pirojpur will be observed today (Sunday), says a press release.
He was also the principal of the college.
On the occasion, doa mahfil will be held at mosques and food will be provided to orphans at Shinghakhali.
Educationist Abul Hashem established school, college, mosque, madrasa, post office and donated land to a 10-bed government hospital at his village home at Singhakhali.
He authored two books 'English Grammar and Composition for Class VI' and a book on local history named 'Bhandaria Darpon'.
