Members of Narcotics Control Department arrested eight persons, including four women, along with around four kilogram of heroin worth Tk 40 million from a house in the city's Wari area Saturday night, reports UNB.
Police said acting on a tip-off, a team of Narcotics Control Department raided the first floor of Gazi Villa in the area at about 11:00 pm and arrested eight persons from the house. Later, the team recovered the heroin kept in a polythene bag from a room.
The arrested were identified as Sima Akter, Manju Bhuiyan, Shahidul Islam, Alauddin, Mosammat Parvin, M Selim, Tania Begum and Eti Akter.
