Eighteen additional judges, who were appointed to the High Court Division of the Supreme Court for two years on Wednesday, were sworn in on Thursday afternoon, reports UNB.
Chief Justice Syed Mahmud Hossain administered the oath at the Supreme Court Judges' Lounge at about 3.0pm.
The 18 HC additional judges are Md Abu Ahmed Jamadar, International Crimes Tribunal member, Md Mostafizur Rahman, Additional Secretary to the Law and Justice Division, Fatema Najib, Narsingdi District and Session's Judge, Md Quamrul Hossain Mollah, Metropolitan Session's Judge of Dhaka, SM Kuddus Zaman, District and Session's Judge of Dhaka, Md Atoar Rahman, Divisional Special Judge of Dhaka, Deputy Attorneys General Khijir Hayat, Shashanka Shekhar Sarker, SM Moniruzzaman, Sardar Md Rashed Jahangir and Khondakar Diliruzzaman, and Supreme Court lawyers SM Abdul Mobin, Mohammad Ali, Mahiuddin Shamim, Md Reaz Uddin Khan, Md Khairul Alam, Ahmed Rasel and Dr KM Hafizul Alam.
