Envoys of Japan, Spain present credentials to President

Newly- appointed Japanese Ambassador to Bangladesh Masato Watanabe presented his credentials to President Abdul Hamid at Bangabhaban in the city on Thursday, report agencies.

Welcoming the new envoy, the President urged the Japanese investors to invest in Bangladesh saying that a special economic zone has been set up for them in this regard, President's press secretary Joynal Abedin said after the meeting.

Masato Watanabe said Japan is interested to continue its assistance for Bangladesh's economic development.
