Error-free database on freedom fighters soon: Minister

The government has taken a programme to prepare an error-free modern digital database on genuine freedom fighters, Liberation War Affairs Minister AKM Mozammel Haque told Parliament Sunday, reports UNB.

"Original certificates with nine security barcodes will be given to freedom fighters once the database process is completed," he said.

The minister said this while responding to a tabled starred question from M Nurul Islam Sujon, MP from Panchagarh-2, in the House.

He expressed the hope that the nation would get an error-free list of freedom fighters with the completion of the database. "Work on the programme is going on at a faster pace," he added.
