East West University (EWU) on Tuesday celebrated the Bengali New Year, Pohela Boishakh 1433, with a wide array of programmes on its campus in Aftabnagar, Dhaka. The day-long celebration featured a vibrant rally, cultural performances and a traditional mela, according to a press release.
The festivities began with a rally, followed by a performance of choral songs and a play by Chhayanaut. The excitement escalated as the band Chirkutt took the stage. The event concluded with a performance by the band Meghdol.
Prof Dr. Farashuddin, chairperson of the board of trustees, EWU; Prof Dr. Shams Rahman, vice chancellor; Prof Dr. Ashik Mosaddik, pro-VC; Ishfaq Ilahi Choudhury, treasurer; faculty members, officials, and students participated in the festivities.
