EWU launches foreign language centre

Prof Dr Mohammed Farashuddin, chairperson of the EWU Board of Trustees and former Governor of Bangladesh Bank, addressing the opening ceremony of 'Foreign Language Center' of the university on Thursday.

In a significant move to enhance employment opportunities, global connectivity, cultural understanding, and excellence in language education, East West University (EWU) has inaugurated its 'Foreign Language Center'.
The opening ceremony was held on Thursday at the university's 'Manzur Elahi' Auditorium. Saida Shinichi, Ambassador of Japan to Bangladesh, graced the occasion as the chief guest.
The programme was chaired by Prof Dr Mohammed Farashuddin, chairperson of the EWU Board of Trustees and former Governor of Bangladesh Bank. Dr. Farashuddin highlighted that EWU established this centre in alignment with the Prime Minister's call for learning a third language.
Hedayatul Islam, deputy secretary of the Prime Minister's Office, attended the ceremony as special guest. Earlier, the Vice Chancellor of EWU, Prof Dr Shams Rahman, delivered the welcome speech.
