Ex-IGP Anwar laid to rest

Former Inspector General of Police (IGP) Anwarul Iqbal, who died in Dubai on January 15, was laid to eternal rest on Thursday afternoon, reports UNB.

Anwarul Iqbal, also a former caretaker government and a freedom fighter, was buried at Banani graveyard following a namaz-e-janaza at Rajarbagh Police Lines after Zohr prayers.

Senior Public Administration Secretary Dr Kamal Abdul Naser Chowdhury, IGP AKM Shahidul Haque, former and present senior police officers, relatives and friends of the deceased attended the janaza.
