CHITTAGONG, Jan 6: Former chairman of United Commercial Bank Ltd (UCBL) Alhaj Jafar Ahmed has been shifted to Mount Elizabeth Hospital in Singapore from United Hospital in Dhaka.
Jafar Ahmed, also founder of Satkania Jafar Ahmed Chowdhury College, has long been suffering from cancer. He was shifted to Singapore from Dhaka as his condition deteriorated on January 3 last.
