Ex-WB official Shafiqur dies

Former World Bank (WB) official Mohammed Shafiqur Rahman died on Thursday in Virginia, USA, says a statement.
Shafiqur Rahman began his career with international organisation CARE as an administrative officer.
Later, he joined the WB in 1969.
He retired in 1996 as programme officer in WB's Bangladesh mission.
He left behind his wife, four children and a host of relatives to mourn his death.
