A purported member of an extremist outfit has been killed in an accidental blast while he was allegedly making bombs in Pabna.  The blast took place in a fishery at Ataikula on Friday afternoon, police said, reports bdnews24.com.

Ataikula police Sub-Inspector Monir Hossain said locals informed them after they found Mandal Hossain (35), injured in the blast.

Police detained Mandal and his associate Rashidul Islam, 22, from the spot with bomb-making materials. Mandal was taken to Pabna General Hospital where doctors later declared him dead. He was a member of an extremist outfit and an enlisted criminal, the SI said.
