Joint director (research), policy analysis unit of Bangladesh Bank head office Md. Ezaul Islam has obtained Ph. D. degree in economics from Jahangirnagar University, said a press release.
The syndicate of the university conferred Ph.D. degree recently for his dissertation titled 'Monetary Transmission Mechanism and Monetary Policy in Bangladesh'.
Professor, Department of Economics, Jahangirnagar University and former director of board of directors of Bangladesh Bank Dr Ismail Hossain was superviser of the dissertation.
Islam has published 10 articles in Economic Referred Journal about monetary policy, exchange rate, interest rate, inflation and fiscal issues.
