Father hacks baby daughter to death in Sylhet

SYLHET, June 11 (UNB): An insane father allegedly hacked his baby daughter to death at Mokambazar village in Golapganj Upazila Saturday afternoon.
Witnesses said Kutoi Mia of the village, hacked his six months old daughter Laila indiscriminately in the afternoon when his wife and other family inmates were busy in their works.
Hearing the hue and cry of Laila the family inmates rescued her and rushed her to the Osmani Medical College Hospital where the on-duty doctors declared her dead.
Local people said Kutoi Mia was suffering from an illness of the mind since long.
