‘Fellows’ kill youth in city

A youth was stabbed to death in city's Khilgaon area on Thursday night, reports BSS.

Aged 18, Rasell, younger of his two brothers, son of Sirajul Islam hailed from Bakherganj of Barishal district, along with some of his friends were playing cricket at a local field on Thursday evening.

Family sources said at one stage some of them including Akash, Rana and Siraj stabbed Rasell at 8:00 pm on Thursday following an altercation.

Rasell, who was appearing in SSC examinations, was immediately rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) and the on-duty doctor declared him dead at around 9.30pm.

M Mashiur Rahman, Officer in Charge (OC) of Khilgaon Police Station, confirmed the incident.
