Female Ansar member found dead in city flat

Police recovered the decomposed body of a female Ansar member from a locked flat in the capital's Kadamtali area on Sunday, suspecting that she may have been murdered.

The deceased was identified as Sharmin Aktar, 27, whose identity card described her as a member of the Ansar Battalion.

According to police, Sharmin had been living on the third floor of a building on Jurain Commission Road in Kadamtali. She was originally from East Dholaipar under Shyampur Police Station.

A police official of Kadamtali Police Station said they rushed to the spot after receiving a call through the national emergency service 999 on Sunday afternoon.
