Female DSCC employee hurt in road accident

A female employee of Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) was seriously injured when a bus hit her at Azimpur area in the city Thursday.
Samita Rani (55) sustained injuries as a passenger bus of Dhaka-Dhamrai route rammed her legs from back when she was returning home from office in front of Azimpur Orphanage.
Some people got agitated following the accident and vandalised a number of vehicles, according to eye-witnesses.
Being informed police rushed to the spot and pacified the agitated people.  
"Local people rescued Samita and shifted her to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) for treatment. She was later transferred to Green Life Hospital for better treatment," Sub-Inspector (SI) of Lalbagh thana Md Moniruzzaman told the FE.  
He said they had seized the bus and were trying to nab the driver.
