Female journalists under the banner of 'Bangladesh Nari Sangbadik Kendra' (BNSK) formed a human chain in the city on Sunday to express its solidarity with the #MeToo movement, reports UNB.
Journalists from different print, electronic and online media participated in the human chain in front of the National Press Club from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm.
Expressing solidarity with the women who already disclosed their harassment with the #MeToo tag in Bangladesh, they demanded investigating allegations made against the harassers and punishment of them.
Bangladeshi social activist Khushi Kabir and Dhaka University Journalism Department Professor Gitiara Nasreen, BNSK President Nasimun Ara Haq Minu, secretary Parvin Sultana Jhuma and Television channel Banglavision's News Editor Sharmin Rinvi, among others, attended the human chain.
