Female worker dies after falling from building in capital

A female construction worker died after falling from an under-construction building in the capital's Azimpur area on Thursday.

The victim was identified as Mosammat Khairun Begum (40).

She suddenly fell from the top of the four-storey building at Azimpur Orphanage Staff Quarter in the morning while washing materials for renovation of the building.

She was taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital, where the attending doctor declared her dead at around 11:00 am.

She hailed from Kalkini upazila of Madaripur and resided at Kamrangirchar, according to the police station concerned.
