Ferry services on Daulatdia-Paturia route disrupted

GUALANDA, Dec 25 (UNB): Ferry services on Daulatdia-Paturia route were disrupted for about five hours Tuesday due to poor visibility caused by dense fog.
BIWTC sources said the ferry movement on the route came to a complete halt around 3:30 am due to the thick fog and resumed at about 8:30 am.
Hundreds of vehicles, including buses and goods-laden trucks, had stranded on both sides of the road from the ferry terminal to Cannel Ghat.
BIWTC official Shahadat Ali told the news agency that about 400 trucks and other vehicles remained stranded at Daulatdia Ghat until this noon while more at Paturia Ghat.
