Fire at BB office

A fire broke out at the Bangladesh Bank Motijheel office in the capital on Monday afternoon.

However, there was no report of casualties.

A duty officer of the fire service and civil defense office told the FE that the incident of fire happened around 6:25 pm on the third floor of the 30-storey BB building.

He said the fire occurred due to electric short-circuit which had damaged two refrigerators. He said that four fire-fighters teams rushed to the spot and doused the fire around 6:52pm.
