A fire broke out at Zaman Tower in city's Purana Paltan area on Friday.
However, there was no report of casualties.
Duty officer of Fire Service and Civil Defence central office Rozina Akter told the FE that the fire originated from an electric short circuit on the fourth floor of the 15- storey building about 1:15 pm.
