A fire that broke out at Syed Grand Centre in Dhaka's Uttara area was doused after nearly three and a half hours on Wednesday morning, reports UNB.
The fire broke out on the 6th, 7th and 8th floors of the building around 1:18 am and spread soon, Anwarul Islam, warehouse inspector of Fire Service and Civil Defence headquarters (media cell) confirmed.
Twenty-four firefighting units rushed to the spot and extinguished the blaze around 4:40 am.
Two firefighters had minor injuries while extinguishing the fire.
The extent of the loss caused by the fire could not be known immediately.
