Fire breaks out in Mirpur slums, no casualty reported

Fire broke out at Tekpara slums in the capital's Mirpur-14 area in the early hours of Tuesday. No causalities were reported so far due to fire, reports BSS.

The fire broke out at 1.15am, but the fire services managed to bring it under control immediately.

"We received the news of fire at 1.22 am and two fire fighting units were able to bring the fire under control at 1.48 am", said duty officer Rakibul Hasan of the Department of Fire Service and Civil Defense. The fire likely erupted from electric short circuit. No causalities were reported due to fire, he added.
