Five held with currencies at Dhaka airport

Members of Airport Armed Police (AAP) arrested five Malaysia-bound passengers along with foreign currencies worth about Tk 8.6 million at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (HSIA) early Sunday, reports UNB.
The arrested persons were identified as Maksudur Rahman (38), Rafiqul Islam (40), Md Badal Khan (40), Rajan Sikder (40), and his twin brother Sumon Sikder (40).
Contacted, ASP Asma Ara Jahan of the AAP said the five passengers were waiting to board a flight of Malaysian Airlines (MH197) as it was scheduled to fly for Kuala Lumpur around 1:20 am.
Being tipped off, the AAP members identified the five detained passengers, took them away from the boarding gate and recovered the currencies of different countries, including Saudi Riyal and US dollar, searching their bodies at about 12:50 am, the ASP said.
