Five including 03 leaders of quota movement hurt in BCL attack at DU

Some active leaders of the quota reform movement and students were beaten up by Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) activists while they were arranging a programme titled 'Nirapod Bangladesh Chai' on Dhaka University (DU) campus on Sunday.
According to witnesses, around 2:30 pm, a group of students were arranging 'Nirapod Bangladesh Chai' programme scheduled to start at 3:00 pm. When some of them gathered at Teacher-Student Center (TSC)cafeteria for having lunch, about 20 to 25 Chhatra League activists suddenly swooped on them.
About five students were injured in the attack. Three of them were Joint conveners of the Bangladesh General Student Rights Protection Platform Mollah Bin Yamin, Jasim Uddin Akash and Sohrab Hossain.
According to sources, the attackers blocked the TSC gate during the attack.
However, BCL president of Dhaka University unit Sanjit Chandra Das denied the allegation of BCL's involvement in the attack.
