Five labourers hurt falling off building in city

Five labourers were injured after falling off the first floor of an under-construction building in the city's Siddheshwari area early Wednesday, reports UNB.

The injured were identified as Shahadat (20), Almas (20), Jahidul (20), Jakir (21) and Bishal (25).

Injured Shahadat was admitted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) while four others were given first aid.

Sources at the DMCH said shuttering of a building's roof in the area opposite Viquarunnisa Noon School and College (VNSC) collapsed while labourers were working there at around 5:30am, leaving five of them injured.
