Forum on Zakat in city today

A 'Forum on Zakat', organised by Rahimafrooz, will be held at Carnival Hall of Bangladesh-China Friendship Conference Centre at 10.30 am today (Saturday), said a press release.

DGM of Zakat Board of the State of Selangor, Malaysia will present the Zakat Management System in Malaysia in the Forum.

Feroz Rahim, group managing director of Rahimafrooz Bangladesh Limited, will deliver the welcome address while M Kabir Hassan will present the keynote paper on Zakat Management and Social Development.

Zakat is one of the 5 dictums of Islam - others being Iman (Faith), Prayers, Fasting and Hajj (Pilgrimage to Makkah).
