Rahimafrooz is going to organise a 'Forum on Zakat' at the Carnival Hall of Bangladesh-China Friendship Conference Centre in the city at 10.30am on August 16, said a press release.
DGM of Zakat Board of State of Selangor, Malaysia will present the Zakat Management System in Malaysia in the forum. It will also provide the participants with the opportunity of being informed of a success story of zakat management in Bangladesh, which has so far brought significant development in the lives of a number of underprivileged families.
Feroz Rahim, group managing director of Rahimafrooz Bangladesh Limited, will deliver the welcome address. M Kabir Hassan will present the keynote paper on zakat management and social development.
The programme will depict facts and figure based assessment of the impact of zakat, in social development, and its effectiveness as a proven economic tool.
